This Privacy Policy explains how Metering Systems SRL ("we", "us") handles personal data collected through this website, meteringsystems.ro. We are committed to protecting your privacy and processing your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Romanian law.

Who we are

What data we collect

This is a static informational website. We do not require you to create an account and we do not run blog comments. The only personal data we actively collect is what you choose to send us through the contact form:

• Company name
• Contact person name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• The content of your message and the type of inquiry

When you submit the form, our server also records your IP address and the date/time of the request, solely for security and anti-spam purposes.

How we use your data

We use the information you provide exclusively to respond to your inquiry, prepare quotes and communicate with you about your metering project. The legal basis for this processing is your consent and our legitimate interest in answering business requests. We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for marketing.

Third-party services

Our fonts are self-hosted, so simply loading the site does not send any request to third-party providers. The only external service we use appears on the contact page:

• Google Maps — used to embed the map on the contact page. When the map is displayed, Google may process your IP address and set cookies.

This service is operated by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. A temporary session cookie may be set only while you are using the contact form, to protect it against spam and abuse; it contains no personal data and is removed when your session ends.

Data retention

Contact messages are kept only as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and any resulting business relationship, after which they are deleted or archived in accordance with our internal retention practices and legal obligations.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability and to object to processing.
